OUR ANTEATER CATHOLIC CHAPLAIN

Fr. Benjamin Tran was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Orange in 2006. He entered the seminary formation early on at Queen of Angels Seminary High School in San Fernando, California. He continued his priestly formation and studies at St. John’s Seminary College and Theology in Camarillo, California earning a B.A. in Philosophy and M.A. in Theology.

For the past eighteen years, he has served as parochial vicar in various parishes throughout the Diocese where he has always had a strong connection and zeal for evangelizing young adults. He is so excited about his new assignment as chaplain of Anteater Catholic, accompanying students in their search for truth, goodness, and beauty in the Catholic faith and making this a home where they can belong, believe, and become what God created them to be!

MEET YOUR MISSIONARIES

The mission of FOCUS is to know Christ Jesus and to fulfill the Great Commission. FOCUS, the Fellowship of Catholic University Students, is a Catholic organization seeking to invite college students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Our hope is to inspire and equip students for a life of Christ-centered evangelization, discipleship, and friendships.

As missionaries on the campus of UCI, along with the students involved in FOCUS discipleship, we lead multiple men’s and women’s Bible studies on a weekly basis which are open to anyone who desires to get involved. We are here to accompany you in your journey with Christ here at UCI!
